Our main laser, called the Q1000, weighs less than one pound! The two associated pencil lasers, the 660 and the 808, weigh only a few ounces each. Our lasers are easily carried, even in a coat pocket! They run on rechargeable batteries so they can be used anywhere, even over long trips.
These soft lasers are very easy to operate as well. The two pencil lasers plug into the main Q1000 just like a headphone jack plugs into a CD player. There are only three buttons on the Q1000, and they control all of its functions: 1) the On/Off button; 2) the Display button, which tells you how much battery time is left; 3) the Mode button, which allows you to choose the program to use for a particular problem. The pencil probes have no buttons to operate at all, they just plug in.
Choosing the right mode, or program, is simple. The Q1000 comes pre-set with three programs, and because the laser is programmable you can add specific programs to meet your needs. Every Q1000 comes with an easy-to-read manual which explains when and how to select the pre-set programs, and how and when to use the two pencil lasers for specific situations. The back of the manual contains an extensive listing that will allow you to choose exactly what programs you might want to add for your particular needs. (Our service facility must program these special modes for you.)
