Kidney Transplant. I received my third kidney transplant in October, 2004. Each time you lose a transplant you produce more antibodies, and it gets harder to find and hold on to a new transplant. Since I had already lost two kidney transplants over the past twenty years, my antibody counts were very high. I was lucky enough to receive a cadaver kidney that was a perfect match, but I was still rejecting it. My physicians treated the rejection intensively but it wouldn’t budge. About that time I found out about the Q1000 from my neighbor (now my business partner distributing our lasers) and began using Mode 3 on my kidney every other day. I also started using bite tabs. Anyway, two weeks later my rejection reversed and the kidney began functioning normally. Of course there is no way to tell how much the previous hospital treatment and how much the laser and bite tabs were responsible for the reversal, but I will say that the doctors expected my kidney to have permanent damage/dysfunction after being in rejection for so long. Allergies. My grandson has a history of asthma-type allergy attacks, which has resulted in him being taken to the emergency room several times. Migraine Headache. My wife had migraine headaches for thirty years. Being a chiropractor, we had tried every sort of natural approach we could find to beat the headaches. Nevertheless, she had to eat every two hours to keep her blood sugar stable, and needed to take four ibuprofen capsules every night before bed in order to keep the headache at bay. After starting the laser and receiving the bite tabs, within 2–3 weeks she became free of migraine headaches and does not need to eat every two hours or take ibuprofen anymore. Bone Spur. I developed a bone spur on the heel of my right foot that resulted in tremendous pain. Walkig was a chore and jogging (my favorite activity) was out of the question. The foot center tried a series of Cortisone shots with hot water and electrical stimulation. When this didn’t work, they suggested an orthotic insert for my shoe and surgery. A professional acquaintance suggested that I try low level laser therapy. I utilized the Q1000 laser on a series of pressure points and also on the sore heel itself. Paralysis. A 13-year-old boy was paralyzed from a trampoline accident and had no feeling below his neck. Five years after the accident he was introduced to low level laser therapy. On his first session, he felt a warmth in his liver area (the area where the low level laser energy was being applied). This was the first time in 5 years that he had felt anything below his neck. This young man is now in college and is able to feed himself, write his own name and even has some usage of his legs. He is looking forward to additional improvements as he continues his low level laser therapy.
Skin Burns. My hot tub thermostat malfunctioned and I scalded my foot and halfway up my calf in 140 degree water. My doctor said it was a 2nd degree burn and that it would take three weeks to heal. I used both the Resonator and Rotary Lasers immediately and twice daily thereafter. By the 6th day, all the pain was gone and I was back to work. Diabetes. I have a friend whose 15-year-old daughter is diabetic and was taking 22 units of insulin per day. Severe Headaches. Following heart surgery, my husband began experiencing severe headaches which the doctor said was caused by a condition called arteritis (inflammation of the arteries in the head). The prescribed medication took about one hour to stop the terrible pain. The last time he had one of these headaches, we used the laser on his head. The pain was GONE in less than two minutes! This machine is wonderful! We are so relieved to have this machine if for nothing else but to relieve his headaches, however, it eliminated my arthritis pain and his sciatic nerve problem as well. Herpes Zoster Lesions. A farmer in his mid-thirties had herpes zoster lesions on the right chest. He had problems breathing and despite taking pain medications, could not move because of pain. I saw him with early vesicular lesions along the nerve trunks on the right chest. Low level laser therapy was given that day and another sessions early the next day. Pain From Severed 5th Cranial Nerve.The thing (low level laser) is miraculous for handling pain. I think it may work on helping to regenerate a severed nerve situation I’ve got going. Some six years ago, an MD severed my 5th cranial nerve on the right side. I’ve had phantom pain ever since the operation, but have regenerated a new system which allows me to use my right arm. Foot Pain. I am a diabetic. I have been keeping it under control with diet and having the pancreas reflex points worked by a foot reflexologist. Pain in Abdomen for 20 Years. A patient told me of a constant, dull aching pain in the lower right quadrant of her adbominal area around the waist line. She had been to countless physicians who had performed dozens of tests without determining the origin of the pain, and who were recommending exploratory surgery. Paralysis. A 63-year-old woman fell off the roof of their home while helping her husband. She had been paralyzed and in a wheel chair for over 1.5 years. After only 1.5 weeks of treatment with low level laser therapy she felt fingling feelings in her hands. The family purchased a Q1000 laser for the woman to use at home. Four weeks later this woman is walking with a cane unassisted!
Poison Ivy. My son forgot how severely allergic he was, and he went running through the woods with our dog. The next day when I saw the rash all over his chest, I knew he was in for trouble. We immediately used the Q1000, mode 1 all over his rash. Over the course of the next week, we continued to laser (morning and night) whenever a new rash appeared — which they did — on his hands, arms, legs, chest, and face. The poison ivy continued to appear for a week, and we diligently lasered each rash as it came along. Each rash disappeared within two days of laser treatments. It was amazing! Sciatic Pains in Leg. Elaine had recurring sciatic pain that ran down her leg. Her chiropractor was sometimes able to provide a little help, but the pain usually persisted. She came in one day to pick up some vitamins, and I suggested that we give the low level laser a try. Elaine placed my Rotary Multiplex laser on the origination point of the pain for two 3-minute sessions and then went home. Whiplash. I was stopped and hit from the rear at 35mph causing a serious whiplash injury. After a week of chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and analgesics, the pain was still severe. Trigeminal Neuralgia. As an alternative dentist, I do a lot of bone surgeries that often require removal of bone and tissue. Mr. SR was such a patient. He had been suffering from what many doctors considered Trigeminal Neuralgia — a very painful condition of the mouth. Mr. SR came to my office weekly to use the Rotary Multiplex low level laser as part of his healing process. I believe that low level laser therapy increased his vascularity and helped to remove infection and support tissue regeneration. Gum Disease.I have suffered with gum disease for many years. I have even endured the full mouth surgery — it helped some, but not anything like I had expected. I see my dentist on a three-month recall, but missed my last appointment. I was very apprehensive about going back to get my teeth cleaned, as I thought the gum pockets would be much worse. Needless to say, I was very surprised (as was my hygenist) when the pockets had improved. She even said, “this is strange but good.” It was then that I remembered that I had used the low level laser a few times on my mouth prior to this appointment. Horse Cut by Barbed Wire — Vet Says “Put Down” — Lives to Produce 3 Foals! This valuable show horse received a severe barbed-wire cut. Infection and gangrene had set in and the vet, after using all conventional treatment methods, suggested that the horse be “put down” (killed). The wound was lasered daily resulting in rapid closure. After closure the scar was lasered once per week for 3 weeks, with the result being hair growing back in the scar tissue! The horse was able to return to the show ring, and has since produced three foals.
Dogs with Painful Otits Externa (Ear Infection). I have used low level laser therapy in the exam room as a pretreatment on a dog with painful otitis externa and then cleaned the ear without incident. The dog's owners couldn’t touch the ear at home. (Dr. M.R.)
Ear Infection. Brandy, our Golden Retriever, suffers from recurring ear infections in her left ear. When the condition arises, we clean her ear and then laser it for one 3-minute session per day. Low Level Laser Used Daily in Busy Pet Hospital. The goal of my investment in the low level laser was to improve the comfort of pets that suffer from pain or to expedite healing of disease conditions. Just today, we treated 7 patients with low level laser therapy. Three of the most dramatic improvements include Theo, Maggie and Nike. Theo is an 8 year-old cat with cruciate injury of 3 months duration. Before his knee surgergy he received 3 laser treatments, his lameness resolved and the scheduled surgery was cancelled. Maggie is a 13-year-old beagle that had lower back disc problems and bilateral cruciate surgery in the past. She would moan and groan when trying to lie down. After her first treatment she climbed on the kitchen counter and ate the cat food! Nike is a 5-year-old schnauzer that presented with severe back pain. Horse Back Injury. My horse had a back injury that completely defied the vet. He had not been able to tolerate a rider for three months. The day after the first laser treatment, he was rideable and after two treatments, he was 90% OK.
