“In the time I have been using low lever laser therapy (LLLT) in my office, I have found it to be helpful for many kinds of problems. The following are just a few of the cases I treated with LLLT.” A 44-year-old male complained of pain along his spine where he previously had disc surgery. The surgery had taken place eight months prior, but the pain and stiffness had not gone away. I treated the scar with the Q1000 and 808 Enhancer only once, and at his next visit he reported the pain had disappeared. No other therapies had been introduced at this time. The reported pain has never returned. A 43-year-old female began treatment for chronic lateral epicondilitis (tennis elbow). She had developed the problem eight months prior while gardening. The usual course of rest and NSAIDs (over-the-counter anti-inflammatories) had not allowed her to regain normal function because of pain, and she was unable to comfortably perform her household duties as a homemaker. I instituted a course of LLLT twice a week for three weeks. At the end of the initial course her pain and dysfunction had been reduced by 85–90%. After a few more visits for LLLT her symptoms were completely gone and have not returned. A very interesting case study developed when a 35-year-old woman came to me because she was unable to get pregnant. She had been told by her dentist that LLLT might help with her fertility problem. (See below: “The transforming role of biological acceptor in the reaction of a low-intensive laser irradiation.” Burlakov A.B. et al.) I instituted a course of LLLT twice a week for four weeks in conjunction with craniosacral therapy, fascial release, chiropractic adjustments, and visualization. This patient was also being treated conventionally at an infertility clinic, but without success so far. The previous month her ovaries had been hormonally stimulated and the eggs were retrieved and implanted in her uterus. The quantity was sufficient, but their quality was low. After one month of LLLT the same procedure was repeated, but this time the egg quality was markedly improved. About ten days after the implantation procedure she received the good news that she was pregnant. There had been only a minor adjustment of one of her fertility drugs in the intervening month. “The Transforming Role of Biological Acceptor in the Reaction of a Low Intensive Laser Irridiation.” Burlakov A B et al [Source: http://www.laser.nu/lllt/lllt_science5.htm]
