This was written by James Oschman at the very beginning of the 21st century in his ground-breaking book, Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis. Whether you have received an MRI or an X-ray recently, or whether you have received a reiki treatment, a massage, or taken a homeopathic remedy, you have — knowingly or unknowingly — stepped into the dawning age of energy medicine.
The frequencies that Oschman refers to belong to what is known as the electromagnetic spectrum. All matter and all forms of energy vibrate at a certain rate (or frequency). Each color of light vibrates at its own unique frequency, and electromagnetic fields oscillate and pulse at different rates. Different frequencies of electromagnetic (and sound) vibrations are known to influence physical and mental functioning in different ways.
